Even though TV can feel like an easy way to turn off your brain, surfing the channels stimulates your nervous system and inhibits your body’s ability to relax. In addition, the light emitted from TVs, laptops, iPads and other screens can suppress melatonin (a hormone only produced at night) which helps regulate sleep.
